BIOGRAPHY

I live in southeastern Wisconsin with my husband, cat, and dog. My favorite room is my office, where I write my books. I've sold 11 short stories, nonfiction articles, and greeting card copy. I've won three RWA writing contests.

My mother read us fairy tales when I was young, and I love a touch of magic in books – and in life.  I find the dynamics of relationships fascinating, making women's fiction a natural fit. My favorite people are quirky and strong-minded, so they naturally show up in my books.  I call my books the Midwestern version of a Southern women's fiction.  We know what it's like to drive in snow.  We shove chocolate in our pockets, step on the gas, and don't let a few heartbreaks stop us.

I love creating stories that make people laugh, smile, and even cry a little. And when they reach The End, they'll go back and read the favorite parts over again.
